Low-Power Single Live Wire Smart Wi-Fi Switch

There is a wide range of smart switches available on the market. However, the construction of single live wire smart switches is still challenging. Rewiring is often needed to upgrade traditional switches to smart switches, which increases the cost of development and installation.

Espressif's self-developed single live wire smart Wi-Fi switch solution, based on ESP32-C series chips (C3 and C2), allows customers to easily build smart switches with extremely low power consumption, excellent Wi-Fi performance, safety, and reliability, thus lowering the cost. Meanwhile, the solution ensures a strong Wi-Fi signal through walls with excellent Wi-Fi performance in secure data transmission. With the support of ESP RainMaker, the smart switches also support local and remote control and upgrade.

The solution has the following features:

  • Upgrading traditional switches to smart switches with no need for rewiring.
  • Integrating ESP-IDF power management algorithm which helps automatically adjust the operating frequency and achieve extremely low-power consumption.
  • Maintaining Wi-Fi connectivity with a current as low as 600~800 uA to avoid abnormal flickering of the lamp.
  • Standardized switching solution with the application and the cloud both adapted to the switching function, allowing customers to quickly build their products.

Low-Power Smart Dimmer

Espressif's low-power smart Wi-Fi dimmer lighting solution is based on ESP32-C series chips (C3 and C2) and allows customers to easily build smart dimmers with low power consumption, excellent Wi-Fi performance, safety, and reliability. The smart dimmers not only support local and remote lighting adjustment, but also allow current frequency monitoring and control, thus reducing the impact of unstable current on lighting bulbs.

The solution has the following features:

  • Low power consumption with no voltage shunt, ensuring the normal operation of lighting bulbs.
  • Powerful and stable Wi-Fi communication, supporting local and remote control.
  • Current frequency monitoring to stabilize output current and prevent issues like flickering bulbs.
